We have been in our house just over 4 years now and recently I started bringing the holidays upstairs. I think it makes everything so much more special! I remember when I first told my husband that I wanted a “Bedroom Christmas Tree” he was pretty much was the, “rolling eyes emoji”. I found a VERY reasonably priced flocked tree from Wal-Mart, brought it home and was OBSESSED from the second I plugged it in. I think I left it undressed for a few days and one night in bed my husband looked over and said, HE LIKED the tree! Of course that was a huge win, even though I secretly knew he would like it…
This tree has 3 different ribbons on it, glitter red, buffalo check and plaid, all wired ribbon which makes it easier to wrap the tree. I added the fluff part of Dollar Tree dusters throughout as snow and glittered poinsettias.
Another thing I did this year was add this flocked garland above my headboard, although it did fall off on us when we were about to fall asleep.
I bought these large plaid pillows for the living room but brought them upstairs to see how the looked. Of course I love plaid so I love them up here too. But lets be honest, I don’t leave them out everyday, so they look good piled up in the corner too!
This “it’s good to be home” canvas print was a recent Homegoods purchase and I added a little greenery to make this view a little more festive.
Don’t be fooled by these wrapped presents, they are empty, or full of random items that I was trying to hide… After Christmas when everything is on sale I stock up on them. I love they way they look under the tree and around the house especially at the beginning of the season when I definitely do not have any gifts bought or wrapped yet.
As always thank you so much for stopping by and hope you leave with some inspiration! Have a wonderful Holiday Season!
