For some reason I was a little behind on my Halloween Decorations… When September came I was so excited to decorate for fall I feel like I was overlooking Halloween, and Halloween was always one of my favorite holidays to decorate for! When I started going through my orange and black storage containers I found some things I bought on sale last year (isn’t that the best?) and wanted to put them out first. We have only been in our home for about 4 years and I feel like I have already accumulated so much! (mostly from scooping up things as soon as they go on sale after the holiday.) Anyway, I need to slow down on that this year, I actually only bought one or two new things so far this year! One of them being this AMAZING Skeleton bust from Homegoods, and it was only $34.99!
My entryway is pretty tiny and I have always wanted a little table but didn’t want it it overwhelm the space. Well last month I found this acrylic table and I could not be more excited! Now I get to decorate it according to the season. Last year I added the sticky on bats around my mirror and they were a huge hit! I love the way the look like they are escaping from behind it. Can we talk about this amazing snake skeleton? My husband was actually the one that picked him out in Target at the beginning of the season. I originally wanted to wrap him around the banister but I love him creeping up the table and biting my Mackenzie Childs pumpkin.
Another one of my favorite/easiest/cheapest decor are these paper rats! I stuck them to the stairs and then mixed in some plastic rats from the Dollar Tree. Ohh and that’s Mortimer, aka Morty the Skeleton, he loves his picture taken and is pretty photogenic.
Heyyyyyy!
I didn’t really decorate too much in the kitchen aside from my halloween tablescape. But I do always have fresh flowers on the counter so I added these sparkly spiders to them. I love the contrast of the black spider against the white roses. Honestly though after this picture I packed up the spiders and put them away. I am so scared of spiders it made me nauseous even putting them out for a second..
I got these great eyeballs from Grandin Road on sale last year, so another fun decoration that I had forgot about. I filled my Mackenzie Childs everything bowl with moss and a ripped up towel and added the eyeballs. I also threw in some rubber snakes I painted gold last year.
This was the first year I brought some Halloween into the bedroom, nothing crazy just a few blackbirds. I attached the birds to my Restoration Hardware chandelier lamps and was so happy with how they looked! You can’t really tell too much by looking at the picture but these lamps need a serious dusting…
Oh and this guy got a little hat for the holiday!
Cheers!
I hope you enjoyed touring my Halloween home and maybe got a little Inspo for your own homes!
