Last year I wanted to try something a little different with my halloween tablescape, so I decided on bright and glamorous, a little change up from the orange and black. I really didn’t know exactly what I was going to do until I stood in front of the flower market section at Trader Joes and ended up getting yellow, peach and white roses.
Once I was home I went into one of my Christmas bins looking for my gold sequin runner, I layered that onto of a white one I leave on year round. Next, I put out my white bamboo style hurricane vases, one of each side of the table. I then went through some more stuff I already had and brought out of all skulls. I arranged the roses in my Pottery Barn juice glasses because I needed a small vessel for them and the glasses were perfect!
I put my largest gold sparkly skull atop a pile of moss on a plain white cake dish, this was going to be the focal point in the center of the table. I then added a crown to the skull and covered it with a glass cloche I had in my dressing room over my wedding shoes. That was pretty much everything I had already in my house that I was going to use so the next day I ran to Michaels to see what else I could find.
There is a Dollar Tree next to Michaels (so convenient) and I ran in there first and came out with the ravens and brown plastic snakes. I knew I wanted to paint the snakes gold so I picked up some gold acrylic paint, these black glitter branches and striped tins at Michaels. I threw a candle in the tins and added the black branches for a creepier look.
The place settings were so easy, I started with my go to Dollar Tree gold charges, a skull dish and striped paper napkins from Homegoods, my gold flatware, and then topped it all off with these amazing mini gold skeletons from Nordstrom.
It looks like my guests have arrived and are already enjoying themselves! I hope you enjoyed this super easy glam halloween tablescape!
