I love partnering up with ChristmasTreeShopsandThat! because they have the most affordable decor so you don’t feel bad buying new pieces for each season or holiday. Over the winter I put together a hot cocoa bar with them (you can find that post here) and I remember being in there for way too long. Well, same thing for this post, I swear every time I am in there it is a minimum one hour. There is just SO much stuff to look at!
I was so excited when they asked me to be a part of their Progressive Spring Dinner with a bunch of other talented bloggers. (You may have found your way over here from Charolette and her gorgeous home over at At Charolette’s House. )Follow along the links below to check out everyones gorgeous spring tables!
Setting a table for spring or Easter is so fun because the past few months all your decor is shades of oranges and yellow, then reds and green and once easter hits, its fun pastels! Having a baby in the fall and being inside for pretty much 6 months has me so eager for spring and putting this table together was the perfect spirit lifter. (Is that a thing?) So follow along to get some ideas on how you can create a simple Easter table too!
When I think of spring, “light and airy” comes to mind so I knew I wanted either a light tablecloth or some sort of sheer runner. When walking through ChristmasTreeShopsandThat! I saw a cream sheer curtain panel that would work perfectly as a table runner. Not to mention it was only $6.99. I love to try and use items that are not necessarily supposed to go on your table because it helps your table stand out.
The next thing I found were these cute placemats that had pastel Easter eggs on them. My kitchen table is very dark so they help brighten everything up and make the perfect backdrop for the dishes. For some reason cabbage always comes to mind for Easter so these Cabbage plates were perfect! And look at these gold glitter eggs!!
To match the dishes I wanted to use real cabbage and was planning to use it in the floral arrangement. When I put it together I didn’t like how it looked, it was too “leafy” alongside the thick tulip leaves. There were a few cabbage leaves on the table so I sat the mercury glass candle right on top of it and it was perfect! I would recommend waiting to put the leaves out until Easter or the day of your dinner so they don’t wilt.
Candles add warmth to any table setting and have become a “must have” for me. I couldn’t believe ChristmasTreeShopsandThat! had such gorgeous mercury glass votives and for only $3.99. I have seen the almost exact same ones at another store for like 5xs the price. I used 4 of the mercury glass ones and 3 small pink glass ones to get this look. (The pink ones were .59 cents!) I also bought a pack of the white votive candles
The centerpiece was a mix of tulips and spring branches, because really, is there any other flower that screams spring more than tulips? I also added a few of these foam eggs that I spread on the table.
Thank you so much to ChristmasTreeShopsandThat! for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
