To be honest I am not a huge gift wrap person, it seems really tedious to me but it is something that needs to be done. On Christmas Eve, you can usually find me begging my husband to wrap all the gifts. But I can appreciate a pile of beautifully wrapped packages!
I teamed up with Christmas Tree Shops and That! to share some Christmas gift wrap ideas. Christmas Tree Shops and That! has been my go-to for so many things this holiday season. Their aisles are always full of decor for any season or holiday. Like I said before, wrapping gifts is a necessary evil but as soon as I walked through the door to Christmas Tree Shops and That! I saw containers full of gorgeous wrapping paper and started to get some inspiration.
Tips:
- First pick your wrapping paper. Find one that is your favorite and then add a few other rolls that compliment the colors.
- Stick to 3 or 4 colors to make it easier
- Pick up a few rolls of ribbon, you don’t want to run out! Check out the party decor section, they will have some you can use there too! It doesn’t have to just be holiday!
- Get some candy, I love adding a bag of something sweet to a gift. You can also use some candy canes or lollipops to adorn a gift box. I got a cute big Christmas tree lollipop for only $1 to add to a box.
- My favorite thing to do is add an ornament to a gift box. It makes such a huge impact and I found so many for under $3! The reindeer ornament I got was only $2.99 and the nutcracker was only $1.99! Those tiny additions make a such a difference.
- Wrap ribbon around the box more than once and layer!
- Browse the whole store for little things to add to your packages! If you are giving a kitchen or baking gift, add a wooden spoon or oven mitt to the box! Or if you are giving a kids gift you can add a box of unwrapped crayons to the box or a small toy.
- Stock up on tissue paper for gift boxes and bags. I got a bunch of tissue paper packs for only $1 each and the wrapping paper was all under $3 a roll!
- Add and ornament or bow to a gift bag, decorations aren’t just for the gift boxes!
- When wrapping, write the recipients name on the back of the box. I usually wrap all gifts first and then go back to decorate and add name tags. This way I don’t forget who gets what box!
- Don’t forget the tape and scissors!
Christmas Tree Shops and That! Had everything I needed to wrap all of these gorgeous packages which made it so easy! I loved being able to get everything in one spot, with the world how it is right now I don’t want to be running around more than I have to!
