Normally I’m a Lemon drop martini kind of girl but once the fall hits I trade in the lemons for apples! I’m not a huge whisky fan, (or fan of any brown liquor) and there seem to be allot of apple drink recipes with whisky but I was looking for something sweeter. I just so happened to have some cake flavored vodka in my bar, (leftovers from some jello shots…) decided to add that to my apple cider and victory! A new drink was made! (Well new to me anyway…) So I wanted to share this easy martini recipe with you!
Mixing any drink for me MUST include making it look pretty, thats half the reason to drink it anyway right? So I had to think of something fun to rim this glass with, I have used crushed graham crackers before but instead of using an apple or lemon to keep the crackers on, I immediately ran to the cabinet and whipped out the syrup. I wasn’t sure how it would work but it was perfect, it didn’t drip at all and tasted AMAZING!
Ingredients:
1 ounce Three Olives Cake Vodka
1/2 ounce maple syrup
2 ounces apple cider
Garnish:
ground cinnamon, maple syrup, apples
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
Crush graham crackers mix in a sprinkle of cinnamin and place on a dish
Rim glasses with maple syrup
Dip glasses in crushed graham cracker/cinnamon mix
Pour drink mix from the cocktail shaker into glasses
Garnish with an apple slice
Cheers, enjoy!!
