Fall is my favorite! Yes, I am totally yelling that and clapping my hands like Buddy the Elf with his excitement for Christmas. This fall I partnered up with Christmas Tree Shops & That! and a few other super talented bloggers to show you how we incorporate fall in our homes. You actually may have found your way to this post from Charlotte’s House and her amazing picnic! I have been doing allot of table settings so I wanted to show you something different. If you would like to see some fall tablescapes from previous years you can check them out here and here.
I have a pretty small entryway so I don’t like to decorate it too much otherwise you will be walking into things when you step inside. The acrylic half moon table and gold mirror are staples there and pretty neutral making it easy to change it each season.
I had a few things in mind for this space when walking into Christmas Tree Shops & That! but couldn’t get over how much fall and halloween decor they had when I stepped inside. They had had so many different sections, traditional fall colors, blues, purples, everything!
As I was walking up and down every aisle there was SO much inspiration, but as soon as I saw the giant bin of pumpkins I knew what I was going to do. There were 3 different sizes of foam pumpkins and the biggest one (which was HUGE) was only $12.99.
Is there anyone out there who doesn’t like a pile of pumpkins? No. Thats what I thought! There is just something about a pile of them in different colors and shapes that is magical. Yes pumpkins are magical. So I decided to fill my cart with as many as I could. Taylor was with me and she was surrounded by them so I was trying to teach her the word “pumpkin” haha. If I was going to buy this many real pumpkins I would be spending triple the amount and then have to deal with the occasional rotting pumpkin on my wood floors…Which I’m pretty sure would ruin them. Now I won’t have that issue, and I can use them next year! Seems like a big win to me!
After I “picked” all my pumpkins I wanted to get a wreath to put on the mirror above them. Since the pumpkins we are all shades of white and orange I wanted to find a wreath the match, which was easy because they had so many options! I was so happy when I saw they also had suction cup wreath hangers so I didn’t have to make another stop for that.
Candles also add warmth to any sort of fall decor so I picked up a pack of battery operated ones and a few extras. I was going to put them down the stairs but when I finished the pumpkins I liked just a few on the table. Whenever grouping candles together make sure to use an odd number, 3,5,7 etc…
My acrylic table held the pumpkins in nicely, I did use some clear fishing string to help keep them contained a little better. If you are planning on making a “pile of pumpkins” somewhere (coming out of a fireplace is also a favorite of mine). I do recommend using some glue dots to help keep them together and giving the cascading look. Believe me, I have tried piling them up without anything and its a constant battle of Jenga.
As always I hope you enjoyed my post and leave with some inspiration for this upcoming fall season! Now head on over to Jordon’s gorgeous table setting! And a huge thank you to Christmas Tree Shops & That! for sponsoring this post!
