Last year I teamed up with a talented group of ladies to make a Halloween board, you can find that post HERE and this year we teamed up again to create some super fun Halloween Snack Boards! You can click through to see everyone’s take on a Halloween Snack Board. They are all so different and will give you some great ideas for Halloween!
Making a snack board is a fun idea to have set up for your kids after school or on the counter to enjoy with a glass of wine and some friends. Who doesn’t like candy, snacks and wine =) To make my Halloween Snack Boards I start with 2 or 3 colors and go from there. Picking out a few colors helps narrow down the treats you need to buy in the store and makes it less overwhelming. Last year I went with pink and orange so this year I went with purple and green.
I started with Walmart and Target for my treats and found most of them there. Don’t forget to go down the regular candy and cookie aisle to look for treats in the colors you chose. I picked up the sugar ghosts and eyeballs at Walmart in the Halloween section.
Once you have all the goodies and are ready for your board, open all the bags and put everything out. I add a few bowls to the board for some smaller candy. To be honest I didn’t even take out my Halloween decor yet so I just used some plain white bowls I had in the cabinet and a ghost mug I had out on the counter.
Always start with the biggest things, I grabbed the mug and bowls and worked from there! I think the boards always look the best the more full they are, so layer up! Don’t be afraid to move it all around and pile it up, it doesn’t need to be perfect! Just have fun!
