This year I feel like I am super into the baby white pumpkins… eh who am I kidding I always am into any kind of pumpkin! Last year, one of my favorite fall pieces was two fake pumpkins in a wood bowl surrounded by the same green moss I used in this project. So the year, I wanted to try and figure out something different. I have tried stacking pumpkins before, but they were the big Cinderella ones in different pastel shades. Why not try and stack these cute little white ones?
This project is super simple and probably took me longer to go through my stuff to find what I needed then to actually assemble it. I LOVE projects that I already have most items in my home already.
What you need:
- mini pumpkins that vary in size ( I used 6, making 3 in each pot)
- some greenery to layer between the pumpkins ( I used a bright green moss, but you can even try using some leaves or ivy)
- a planter or pot to stack them in
First, I found the two smallest pumpkins and set them aside. Then I took the rest and put them in order to smallest to largest in two piles. You will have to remove the stems on these so they can stack nicely, I was able to just snap the stems right off.
Once that was done I filled the pots with a thick layer of the moss and placed the largest pumpkin on top of the moss .hen I just repeated this step 2 more times and I was done! You could probably glue it all together but I didn’t, I was just careful when I was moving them around so that it didn’t topple over.
So this is why I made two of them, I always have some sort of topiary on each side of kitchen sink and this was such a fun way to add a little fall into the kitchen! I hope you guys enjoyed this really simple project for fall and give it a try too!
